Triniti™ skin treatment combines three of today’s most effective technologies to achieve total facial renewal:
Photorejuvenation, Tissue Tightening and Matrix IR Laser Wrinkle Reduction performed consecutively during the same visit. This treatment provides a non-invasive solution to issues of pigment discoloration, skin laxity and wrinkles with immediate and visible results.
Patients can expect a more youthful and refreshed appearance with minimal discomfort and downtime.
On average a series of three Triniti™ treatments are needed, scheduled three to four weeks apart.
The first step of treatment is IPL, also known as FotoFacial RF©, combines pulsed light and bi-polar radiofrequency (RF) energy to target freckles, brown spots, broken blood vessels and sun damage.
The second step, tissue tightening with ReFirme™, addresses skin laxity by using both infrared light and bi-polar RF to tighten areas around the cheeks, jowls and neck.
Finally, wrinkle reduction with Matrix IR Fractional for deep wrinkles combines fractionalized diode laser and bi-polar RF energy for targeted treatment of distinct creases in the forehead, brow and crows feet areas as well as nasolabial folds around the mouth.
The three treatment technologies of Triniti™ -- color correction, skin tightening and wrinkle reduction -- feature combined Bi-Polar Radio Frequency and Light energies which precisely heat tissue within the targeted treatment area to stimulate the skin for desired improvement.
FotoFacial RF®: There are multiple wavelengths contained in intense pulsed light. Some are more effectively absorbed by pigmented cells and others by small vessels. The heat from the radio-frequency makes the procedure more effective with less light, reducing the possibility of side effects, and also heats up the inner layer of skin called the dermis to promote new collagen formation.
ReFirme™ Skin Tightening: Infrared light and radio frequency energy can be used to heat deeper layers of the skin while protecting the surface of the skin. This heating activates fibroblasts, signaling new collagen to form and existing collagen to tighten over time.
Matrix IR Fractional for Wrinkles: Infrared light is emitted in fractionated realms. This allows for more intense light to be emitted, creating strong thermal bands that heat deep into the dermis. Coagulation occurs where the thermal bands and radio frequency overlap. The heat is conducted within collagen fibers causing collagen contraction, remodeling and new collagen synthesis. Because the light is fractionated and more intense, the injury created by the thermal bands initiates stronger remodeling of thin, compacted collagen.
In most patients results are seen as gradual and continual over the course of the treatments and individuals can expect to have a more radiant and refreshed appearance overall. During the initial consultation, your medical provider will personalize a treatment schedule for maximum results. Maintenance treatments will be needed over time to maintain achieved results.
There is some minor discomfort described as a hot pinching sensation but most patients easily undergo this procedure. This resolves at the end of the treatment and there is no lasting discomfort. In addition, an external cooling device will be used to increase your comfort level. Immediately after treatment there may be some redness and/or mild swelling which may last up to a few hours post treatment. In rare instances swelling and redness have lasted several weeks. If there are a lot of pigmented spots they will become darker over the week post treatment and “pepper” or flake off. Make up covers this and can be applied immediately after a treatment. There is a very low risk (less than 1%) that other side effects may be experienced including bruising, skin wound, infection, and scarring, hypo and hyper pigmentation, and surface irregularities. Subsequent treatments may be necessary to improve these should they occur.
Prior to treatment all potential risks and side effects will be discussed with you by your medical provider.
Most patients have mild redness and swelling for a few hours after treatment. Makeup and/or sunscreen may be applied immediately and you may return to work or any social engagements. In addition, if there are a lot of pigmented spots they will become darker over the week post treatment and “pepper” or flake off. Results will develop over time and with subsequent treatments. Full results can be appreciated up to six months following the last treatment. Maintenance treatments may be necessary to maintain the achieved results.
